The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has announced the schedule for the largest commercial vehicle enforcement events in 2025, such as International Roadcheck and Brake Safety Week.
Following the completion of Brake Safety Week, the final significant enforcement operation for 2024, CVSA officials are now focused on planning next year’s inspection and enforcement activities.
Below are the dates for key commercial vehicle enforcement events across North America in 2025.
2025 CVSA CMV Blitz Schedule
International Roadcheck
- International Roadcheck is scheduled for May 13 — 15, 2025 in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
- International Roadcheck is the largest targeted enforcement program on commercial motor vehicles in the world, with nearly 15 trucks and motorcoaches inspected, on average, every minute across North America during a 72-hour period.
Operation Safe Driver Week
- Operation Safe Driver Week is scheduled for July 13 — 19, 2025 in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
- During Operation Safe Driver Week, law enforcement personnel will be on the lookout for commercial motor vehicle drivers and passenger vehicle drivers engaging in risky driving. Identified unsafe drivers will be pulled over and issued a citation or warning.
Brake Safety Campaigns
CVSA’s Operation Airbrake Program will hold two annual brake safety campaigns in 2025:
- Brake Safety Week is scheduled for August 24 — 30, 2025 in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
- There will be an unannounced one-day brake safety enforcement initiative, which may be held at any time.
- During both the announced and unannounced brake safety enforcement campaigns, commercial motor vehicle inspectors conduct brake system inspections (primarily Level IV Inspections) on large trucks and buses throughout North America to identify brake-system violations.
