Newly released dash cam footage captures the intense moment when a semi-truck teetered on the edge of the Clark Memorial Bridge in Louisville after a collision earlier this year.

The incident unfolded at approximately 12:30 p.m. on March 1, on the Clark Memorial Bridge spanning the Ohio River between Indiana and Louisville.

Reports indicate that Trevor Branham, 33, was behind the wheel of a Chevrolet C1500 traveling southbound on the bridge at an excessive speed, recklessly navigating through traffic. His vehicle slammed into a stalled EV, propelling it into the northbound lanes. There, it collided with another car before crashing into a Sysco semi-truck operated by Sydney Thomas. The impact sent the semi hurtling into a support beam and smashing through the bridge’s guardrail. The cab of the truck dangled perilously 100 feet above the Ohio River for nearly 45 minutes until Thomas was rescued by emergency responders from the Louisville Fire Department.

Branham faces serious charges, including four counts of wanton endangerment and one count of driving with a suspended license.

Footage from both the interior and exterior dash cams capturing the crash was presented during a court hearing related to Branham’s charges. Watch the video below to witness the harrowing event.
