Starting January 1, toll rates for commercial vehicles using E-ZPass on the Ohio Turnpike will rise from 20.4 cents per mile to 22 cents per mile. For those paying with cash or credit card, the toll will increase from 25.6 cents per mile in 2024 to 27.6 cents per mile in 2025.

This adjustment represents the second phase of a planned toll rate increase that will extend through 2028. Once fully implemented, Class 5 E-ZPass users will pay 23.8 cents per mile, while cash and credit card users will face nearly 30 cents per mile.

Ohio Turnpike Commission Executive Director Ferzan Ahmed explained that the increases are designed to establish a sustainable financial plan to support operating expenses, debt repayment, and infrastructure improvements.
