Volvo Trucks North America has officially begun series production of the completely redesigned Volvo VNL Class 8 truck. The truck is being built at the New River Valley Assembly Plant in Dublin, Virginia. According to the company, the launch of the new Volvo VNL also marks the debut of its cutting-edge cab plant, which is part of a $400 million investment by the Volvo Group in its North American operations.

The new Volvo VNL has already raised the bar in the trucking industry and will deliver significant value to our customers’ operations.”
The new Volvo VNL offers four exterior and interior trim options and six cab configurations, catering to customers’ preferences, branding, and operational requirements. The first 400 units will feature both sleeper and day cab models, with a range of packages, trim options, and powertrain choices.
The VNL boasts numerous enhancements, such as advanced aerodynamics to boost fuel efficiency, safety technologies like collision avoidance systems, and connectivity solutions. Designed with driver comfort in mind, it includes ergonomic seating, advanced climate control, and noise reduction features.
