According to information from the Energy Information Administration, the average diesel price across the nation dropped by 8.8 cents and now stands at $4.366 per gallon as of November 6th.
Here are the highlights:
- The average cost of diesel fuel has decreased by a total of 17.9 cents per gallon in the last two weeks, following a 10.1 cent increase during the week of October 23rd.
- Currently, a gallon of diesel is 96.7 cents cheaper than it was at the same time in 2022.
- The average price of diesel fuel has decreased in all 10 regions as per the Energy Information Administration’s weekly survey. The Rocky Mountain region experienced the most significant drop, with a reduction of 16.1 cents per gallon. In the Midwest and the West Coast (excluding California), the price dropped by 10.7 cents and 10.4 cents, respectively. The smallest decline was seen in New England, where the price dropped by 1.4 cents.
- The average price for a gallon of gasoline has also decreased by 7.7 cents to $3.396. This is 40 cents less than the cost of a gallon at the same time last year.
