In an exciting collaboration, Kenworth Truck Company has stepped forward to support one of country music’s most prominent bands by gifting them a brand new big rig for their highly anticipated 2023 tour. The renowned truck manufacturer, Kenworth, revealed on June 2nd that they will be providing Alabama, the legendary country group, with their very own Kenworth T680 76-inch mid-roof sleeper, ensuring seamless transportation throughout the band’s captivating “Roll On 2 North America Tour.”

Kenworth Truck Company has announced the revival of its longstanding partnership with Alabama, emphasizing their deep connection with the iconic band. In a show of continued support, Kenworth has chosen the T680 as a symbol of this renewed collaboration. This partnership traces back to the late 1980s when Kenworth sponsored the annual “Truckers Appreciation Concert” featuring Alabama in Louisville, Kentucky, alongside the Mid-America Trucking Show.

For several years, Alabama relied on Kenworth trucks to transport their concert equipment, forging a strong bond between the band and the manufacturer. In 2003, after visiting Kenworth’s Renton, Washington plant during their tour, the band was gifted a remarkable W900 72-inch AeroCab truck.

Now, as Alabama prepares to embark on their latest musical journey, Kenworth’s support takes center stage once again. The introduction of the T680 serves as a testament to the enduring partnership between Kenworth and Alabama, carrying forward the tradition of reliability, innovation, and mutual appreciation.

“For over 15 years of touring, we have had the pleasure of Kenworth trucks moving our equipment up and down the road for over a million miles. We are thrilled the fine folks at Kenworth are sponsoring our 2023 ROLL ON 2 tour,” said ALABAMA’s Teddy Gentry and Randy Owen. “We just celebrated our 50th anniversary and now Kenworth is celebrating their 100th anniversary. One thing is for sure, we depend on Kenworth trucks, and look forward to continuing our relationship.”

“Kenworth values our longstanding partnership with ALABAMA, and we are excited to provide a Kenworth T680 for this year’s tour,” said Genevieve Bekkerus, Kenworth director of marketing. “We thank band members Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry for choosing to team up with us again and know Josh Gentry (Teddy’s son) will enjoy driving this truck during the tour.”
